Dr. Patterson grew up in Pleasant Hill, graduating from Pleasant Hill High School in 2004. He worked at Pleasant Hill Animal Clinic from 2003 to 2004 cleaning kennels, helping out around the clinic, and providing assistance on farm calls.
After completing his undergraduate work at Missouri State University, Dr. Patterson attended veterinary school at the University of Missouri, graduating with his DVM degree in 2011.
After graduation, Dr. Patterson moved to the Tampa, Florida region to join Blake Veterinary Hospital, practicing there for 3 years. In 2014, Dr. Patterson "Came Home" to join Pleasant Hill Animal Clinic, and purchased Dr. Ebert's ownership stake in 2015.
His professional interests include client education, small animal surgery, and preventative medicine.
In 2013, he authored "How to Become a Veterinarian" a step by step guide for young people aspiring to be a veterinarian. He lives on a small farm outside of town with his wife, Melissa (2003 PH Grad) and three children, Aliceyn, Benson, and Cade.
