  COMPLETE BLOOD COUNT (CBC)   

  • A census of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets
  • Gives insight into anemia, infection, inflammation, and clotting disorders

BLOOD CHEMISTRY (SMAC)  

  • Measures liver enzymes, kidney markers, electrolytes
  • Gives insight into organ damage and function and electrolyte imbalances

THYROID PANEL (T4) 

  • Measures

  • Can be used to diagnose hypothyroid or hyper thyroid diseases

PHENOBARBITAL LEVEL   

  • For dogs that are on phenobarbital for epilepsy, measures the amount of the drug in the blood
  • Allows for monitoring of blood levels of phenobarbital for appropriate dosing

  TUMOR CYTOLOGY   

  • Evaluating cell types and characteristics can give insight into the aggressiveness of tumors

EAR CYTOLOGY   

  • Identifying bacteria and yeast will allow us to choose the most appropriate medication for treatment of ear infections

URINALYSIS   

  • Chemical Analysis for pH, concentration, protein, glucose, red and white blood cell

HEARTWORM SNAP   

  • Tests the blood for antigens of adult heartworms

TICK-BORNE DISEASE SNAP 

  • Tests for antibodies to Ehrlichia, Lyme Disease, and Anaplasmosis 

PARVO SNAP  & GIARDIA SNAP 

  • Tests for antigens of parvovirus/giardia

  • Includes 1 radiograph view; most cases require 2 views (doctor's discretion)

2 VIEWS & INTERPRETATION   

  • Includes 2 radiograph views; most commonly required  (doctor's discretion)
  • May be 2 angles of the same location or same angle of 2 locations

ADDITIONAL VIEWS   

  • Utilized when additional angles are needed or multi

  1 VIEW & INTERPRETATION   

  • Includes 1 radiograph view; most cases require 2 views (doctor's discretion)

 GI CONTRAST STUDY 

  • A contrast agent is given orally to highlight the gastrointestinal tract through radiographs
  • Utilized to help diagnose motility disorders, foreign bodies, and GI obstructions

CONTRAST CYSTOGRAM 

  • A contrast agent is infused into the urinary bladder through a catheter
  • Allows for evaluation of the bladder lining and can help diagnose bladder disorders

  • Includes an indepth scan of the abdomen as the primary diagnostic

ANCILLARY SCAN   

  • Includes a scan of a specific organ system in conjunction with other diagnostics

WELLNESS SCAN   

  • Includes a scan of the entire abdomen as a screening tool as part of a wellness exam
